Lindapter and Bridges Case Study Book

After months of improvements on the Thomas Road Streetscape project, the city of Scottsdale, Arizona commissioned artist Stacy Levy to create a piece of art to adorn the Thomas Road Bridge.

In order to realize the artist's vision, Levy and the Lindapter engineers needed to determine the best method to attach all 187 individual sculpture components.

Ultimately, the team selected Lindapter Hollo-Bolts because the Hollo-Bolts:

  • Use a mechanical expansion effect to secure the  bolt in place
  • Stabilize structural and steel plate elements to hollow structural steel (HSS)
